hand on our hearts

All the waves of blame arrange as broken scenery,
As they steal your best memories away.
What if I was someone different in your only history?
Would you feel the same
As I walk out the door
Never to see your face again?
And it'll be just as quiet when I leave,
As it was when I first got here.
I don't expect anything,
I don't expect anything,
I don't expect anything to change when I leave.

I can feel myself slipping into a pensive mood, which isn't all that healthy considering how much the last few weeks have wrung me out mentally and emotionally. I may feel more confident about myself, but that doesn't mean the wounds have healed completely. There will always be that little scar by the corner of my right ventricle heart, and sometimes, I wonder if I ever want it to go away.
Scars don't always have to remind you of the bad things. They can sometimes remind you that there were enough good times that were worth the hurt.
So, well, pensive mood, hello again. I promise I'll converse with you after my English exam tomorrow. But for now... you're welcome to linger in my mind. It's not like you're going anywhere, anyway.

So, I will head out alone, and hope for the best.
And we can hang our heads down,
As we skip the goodbyes.
And you can tell the world what you want them to hear,
I've got nothing left to lose, my dear.
So, I'm up for the little white lies,
But you and I know the reason why
I'm gone, and you're still there.
