I volunteered today for community service, and it was something that I didn't see everyday. To see all these people without a home, without adequate funding, with so many mouths to feed...

There was a lady who had her daughter incarcerated. There was another lady who had five children and was divorced. There was another lady who gave me a notification that she had issued a restraining order against her husband. There was a girl who couldn't be older than 21, who told me she was staying with her boyfriend, but she had two kids.

So many people, so many lives, so many stories. It broke my heart.
