The things I bet you didn’t know about our tennis court (and the people):1.Our coach is younger than most of our mothers.
.There are 5 of us who are 15. Hah.
.Of the 5 of us, four of us are born in consecutive months: February (ChienMing), March (Shaun), April (me), and May (Jhensen, supposedly). Vi Chien had the misfortune of being born in October. So yeah, that basically makes me the middle kid within the whole entire fifteen year old gang.
.Our resident tennis superstar shares the birthday with our resident flirt.
.We have fish ponds behind our tennis courts. So we get to go swimming after practice. Yes, Dani. I’m kidding.
.Half the time, we get rained on, so we don’t get to play tennis anyway.
.We have a hypocrite on court. He just doesn’t want to admit it. =)
.We also have a very bratty ten year old, who we all feel like picking up and tossing into the fish pond, where hopefully, a whole shoal of piranhas will come and eat him up. Yeah, piranhas aren’t allowed in Penang, but hey. This is Malaysia after all. What’s with breaking some fish rules?
.There are also suburbs around, which our coach always sends us to explore when he’s tired of us yelling the place down. So he asks us to go jog, and we just never do. Strolling, we always say, does a lot to soothe the soul. Hey. Stop and smell the roses, man.
.The boys, between them, have broken at least five cones.
.The girls, between us, have done…nothing. But we make the court look pretty. =) Well, they do, anyway.
.We got two state players.
.We have a thirteen year old kid who thinks he’s the next Albert Einstein.
.Also, the guys are very intent on hitting leaves, so they really don’t love Mother Nature.
And last, but not least, we have…………………hmm, I ran out of things to say.
Enjoy mulling this piece of info over. Yes, I was bored.
